I agree but as the charity is Disaster Aid Australia there is probably a better than average chance of vacant seats as the disaster may mean a number of people cancelling their trips!

Sorry.....done
Same PNR - One booking for both people.
Minority View - I don't need to be next to the colleague. . . . but we are all volunteers so I prefer to avoid being considered elitist by travelling in a better class, while they are stuck in economy.
I don't have a problem with Qantas restricting points transfers to family members . . . but when it comes to upgrades for people travelling with me it seems ridiculus.
My situation is I have Gold Status and plenty of points from personal travel, but a couple of times a year travel...
I haven't bought car company excess in over 20 years.
I did have a small scratch about 8 years ago and the car rental guy who came to inspect the car couldn't believe I owned up to it before he had checked the car.
I sent it to the credit card company who paid up!
I also had a cracked screen...
We have just book a Eurorail 4 day pass for travel in May.
Overall it does seem a bit cheaper especially if you are going to be using it for more days.
One thing to be aware of if you are hoping to use some of the high speed trains is the cost of required reservations is extra and the costs...
Although the speed of the Shinkansen is impressive I think that the fact your vision is restricted by the noise barriers limits enjoyment of the scenery.
A couple of train trips I have really enjoyed are:
Nagano to Nagoya - A fast tilt train through the mountains with spectacular views. It was...
Not sure if it could be classed as a 'Resolution' . . . . but this Christmas I finally admitted to myself that trying to convince my wife to only travel HLO when we were away for more than a week. was not showing any sign of success. . . so one of her Christmas presents was a 'Tile' bag tracking...
Woolies don't seem to desperate to me as they keep sending me offers for something I have just bought.
An example:
I have a few blueberries on my morning cereal so only buy a packet of frozen blueberries every four or five weeks. The other week a bought 1kg and the next week I got a bonus offer...
I've got a few different webbbing belts with plastic buckles.
You can buy the webbing and the buckles at Bunnings.
I still occasionally get asked to take the belt off (about 1 in every 10 flights)
Only 14 Flights for me but added 5 (or is it 6?) new countries (and 1 Continent)
Chile*
Antartica*
Falkland Islands (??)*
Argentina*
Uruguay*
Timor Leste (Was really easy to get Classic Rewards return from Melbourne . . . Really enjoyed the visit but very basic tourist infrastructure)
India

I usually travel with a SCOTTeVEST which has a host of zipped pockets, including an internal one for passports.
It even has a pocket that fits a tablet, or in my case a chrome book.
I really enjoyed the Sri Lankan Air Force Museum at Mount Lavinia near Columbo.
Lots of planes that you can actually walk right up to.
The Sri Lanka Air Force Museum
Arriving in Darwin from Timor Leste mid afternnon with a late night flight back to Melbourne .
Got booted out of the lounge late afternoon and with no flights for several hours everything shuts down.
Finnair is probably worth a look.
I have used them several times including last year when I flew a similar routing (Outwards Melbourne, Hong-Kong, Helsinki, Prague; Back London, Helsinki, Singapore, Melbourne)
Lots of talk on the thread about Credit Card insurance but there are many levels and cover for credit card insurance.
I originally invested in an ANZ Black card because the policy gave me equivalent cover to the annual travel policy I had at the time, and much better than the standard ANZ CC.

I have often entered the booking number into the website in the past when using a travel agent, to be able to select seats.
In this case when I entered the booking number and then clicked on the ‘change seats’ tab I was given the message that the booking was ineligible to select seats!
