You need 4 QF/JQ coded sectors in the year. So if you did 2 sectors recently and you have another 2 sectors booked in February then that should get you over the line. How many SC's will you earn on your flight in Feb? It might be worth booking something else to get you to gold before your year...

Yes, hadn't actually looked at the figures. For topping up throughout the year it might come in handy but not a cost effective way to get those last few SC's to get you over the line.

I've just seen this too. Interesting indeed. Anyone had an invite to participate in the trial? This would certainly help me this year. I don't fly anywhere near as much as others here and this year is likely to be as close as I'll get to gold. Still likely to fall short though.

Thanks. To clarify, it doesn't direct me to the EK site. I meant that it offers up the EK flights rather than the alternative which is QR. They are showing with QF flight number so I guess that's it.

re: Discussion/Q&A on Best QF Status Run Options I've looked at this QR CMB-DOH-CAI_DOH-CMB route. It does look great. The DOH-CAI leg books into first so it's a great earner. I'm having trouble finding an economic way of getting from PER-CMB though.
