    China visa - price hike!

I think the US is much worse again given that countries like Canada/Mexico are counted in the 90 day visa waiver we were looking at getting a visa you have to show up in person for an interview fine if you live near an embassy but I would have to go interstate China seems a good deal easier

    Air Asia X - review

I think it was actually more a case of not shifting them At least three people that we saw plonked themselves down after the flight took of and were not moved out. Bad form I think - I wont be buying XL seats again I can tell you

    Air Asia X - review

Imminent big trips always cause stress. Last minute rush to make sure everything is done before you leave. And fighting the irrational fear that you will leave your passport behind, the plane will be delayed for many many hours and you end up being diverted to a completely different city...

    Air Asia X - review

I would not plan on getting a gluten free meal. Bascally the hot meal they do is their standard fare and the setup is more like virgin where you buy your food on demand. Although the Asian meals might qualify - depending on if you can have rice The menu is here Welcome to AirAsia.com...now...

    Air Asia X - review

Well as long as they leave on time and get me there in the one piece I am happy I have done Air Asia Melbourne to KL (return) and 6 or seven internal flights with them Never had a problem I would not recommend spending the extra on the XL seats unless you are really tall - they are not...

    Surprise! You've turned Gold!

Thats an interesting response from the customer centre Hmm I think if you recieved an upgrade, and then called the customer service centre, and if they confirmed it - you would have a pretty good argument you should stay at that level mucking up a mass e-mail is one thing. But if you have...

    Surprise! You've turned Gold!

Well call me skeptical, but it sounds a tad fishy to me. They were VERY quick to fix the error, incorporating an image that was quite slick "friday the 13th". Seems rather efficient for a mistake. So now a lot of people who are not regular users of Virgin Blue have effectively...

It's all too hard: do you have a frequent-flyer degree?

I think more you know the better you fare when it comes to buying travel products Mind you I don't know anywhere near enough  Take for example RTW flights, even if I fly to the same city, but leave from a different airport its going to cost me a sector/segment well as far as I...

Want a cookie - help me decide on a RTW route!

We are still umming about Longyearbyen - if the hotel up there has a good rate going we will look at again but the cost is turning us off. We were prepared to camp but looking around I think we might prefer a trip up along the Aleutian Islands We have decided to go Star Alliance, and will...

    QF127 SYD-HKG: To J or not to J

Gosh :!: sounds like you are on it Good luck with the recovery - I distinctly remember a martial arts grading where a head high kick went wrong. My body moved but not my ankle - and a loud snap followed - took 6 months to rehabilitate :P I am sure you will be fine - you sound wiser than...

    QF127 SYD-HKG: To J or not to J

mm i dont have much experience in travelling long haul - so I can only compare this to a Melbourne to KL flight (about the same duration). Im a portly lady, so such things are an issue. But I noticed on a day time flight I was happy to roam around, stretch and the like. Id say take a good...

    Qantas club upgrades

I think this thread is interesting It actually reminds me of the Virgin lounges, although I think its gone the other way Breakfast there in Sydney about 6 months ago was continental breakfast + all the hot toast you could eat. And after smiling at the person serving she rustled up some...

Want a cookie - help me decide on a RTW route!

Well I have trawled through many flyertalk posts and it seems like the zurich-new york with Swiss is on the new planes (at least for some of them) Can anyone else give an opinion on Swiss vs United - It looks like when swiss are good they are really good, but when they are bad its not pretty...
