LCC challenging backpackers for cheap accomidation

Wow - thanks for posting about the Omena hotels - this looks like a great choice for us when we are visting the region. Sound like a weird question, but can you remember if the rooms had safes? Also it looks like they have microwaves, is that right? Cheers

LCC challenging backpackers for cheap accomidation

I have stayed at the tune hotels at the LCCT, Kuching and Penang All in all I would have to say they are good value for money - clean with a bed, shower, toilet and an in room safe There advertising is not too in your face, I don't think its any more intrusive than all the bits and pieces in...

YVR for Olympics - late stage booking - should we?

 I think my neighbours have already decided we are crazy ages ago I'm all for doing dreams - hopefully I'll be hanging out in North Alaska freezing each night for a month trying to see an Aurora but if its spontaneous and crazy, rather than the olympics, I would choose something with...

YVR for Olympics - late stage booking - should we?

I wouldn't but that just me such a short time  we actually reversed our upcoming RTW trip to avoid Vancouver that time of year. I would ask yourself why you want to go, is it because a break is way overdue, you both want to do something spontaneous and crazy, or you really and...

BA customer service, what are the chances of getting a reponse you reckon?

Gosh sounds like I will be lucky to get a sensible response  Its interesting due to the vagaracies of banking I got a huge fee on my bank account (its complicated but basically we checked before we did a transaction and something went wrong). I phoned the bank, and it was mostly...

BA customer service, what are the chances of getting a reponse you reckon?

Thats what I suspect to, but its interesting in all the BA material it seems the only place they mention closing times is buried (not anywhere in their flash ap that I can see). What they should be saying in their promotional material is that the arrivals lounge is for arrivals pre a certain...

BA customer service, what are the chances of getting a reponse you reckon?

Well my big 2nd honeymoon come "gap year" trip plans are further on the way and we are now booked half way around the world (just booked Tokyo-London with BA in Club World a couple of days back). I chose this service partly because of the arrivals lounge in T5, but darn it  - I think its...

Is this a good price BA Tokyo to London

Cheers this is good to know - there seems to be so much competition in business class nowadays which is great we were planning the traditional RTW business class, until we started pricing up individual long sectors + a cruise (and a bit of economy in the US) - looks quite good :)

Is this a good price BA Tokyo to London

Finally getting around to booking the flights for an upcoming trip, and am tossing up a Star Alliance business class vs just paying for some segments One of the options is to fly British Airways - Club Word - Tokyo to London - Is a AUD $2800 fare a good price (one way), for a restrictive...

Budget carriers unite to cut costs (QF/JQ/D7 getting friendly?)

Hmm just a random thought If Jetstar and Air Asia can share facilities, then Air Asia can use the Jetstar facilties in Japan opening the much coveted budget Kuala Lumpur/Singapore to Japan link (been talked about for years!)

Budget carriers unite to cut costs (QF/JQ/D7 getting friendly?)

Re: QF/JQ/D7 getting friendly? How friendly I wonder? Friendly enough that Air Asia Passengers out of the Gold Coast could use the Jetstar lounge maybe? I know thats an odd question - but I am doing the trip soon, and you never know

4000 Virgin passengers stranded in Melbourne

I was at melbourne airport last night - it was PACKED at the Virgin check in terminal (I feel for those affected it would have been stressful). We actually had to fly Tiger (last minute trip and it was the cheapest by far). They were ontime, which I was not counting on. Checking in 2 hours...

When I did a bunch of trips to the Gold Coast last year hubbie & I would often be one of the very few (sometimes only ones) in the Sydney Virgin Lounge It was great - had their cinema room all to ourselves, they gave us the remote for it as well. Really great way to travel :)
