It seems that people have lost sight of the fact that this was all preceded by a government enquiry into financial services. That inquiry raised issues and made recommendations. The government, RBA and ACCC are just working through the issues raised, and considering the recommendations, etc.

It's all a radical concept isn;t it. Expecting the consumers that benefit from points etc, to actually be the ones that pay for them!

The way I read the article is that it is about 'environmental friendliness', rather than anything to do with religion.

The T&Cs that come into affect on December 1 have nothing to do with the Rewards program. FWIW the 20 days requirement that everyone is banging on about is in the existing T&Cs that are being replaced. But these are not the Rewards T&Cs'.

I tried to imagine a seating arrangement where this whole problem becomes unsolvable. The only thing I can think of is that everyone refused to move. (Mind you, I wouldn't have thrown the term homophobic at this, that word is just being used to incite an emotional response)

For a hoot in Woolworths, take a look at, say, chicken thigh fillets in the deli department, then go to the meat department and have a look at the price. Then wonder how the meat department ever sells chicken.....
