I think the primary issue is that you think you are going ot get a 'meal' in the Qanats Club. I think that is the wrong mind set. You'll get something to eat, and noiblle on, but don't expect it to be a meal.

If you gave them your number, and provided consent to contact you (as per the T&Cs), then they can call you....

I think you are misreading. You will get the bonus on each segment of your muti - segment itinery (assuming all other conditions are met etc. etc.). Each segment is a qualifying segment, not just the first one. But you can only get one bonus on each of those individual segments.

In the case of VA, the judgement was only against some prices on its mobile site. There was no finding against VA regarding its emails or website. Findings against Jetstar were with its website in 2013 and mobile site in 2014.

Presumably that is the red-eye. The supper option is pretty poor if you expect something more substantial. However, in my experience you do get a (continental) breakfast at the other end of the flight, so I guess they have just adjusted the way the service works on that flight - perhaps more...
