"Loyalty" was always a bit of a misnomer. A loyalty program is nothing more than a package of benefits, that hopefully bring the company incremental revenue. Tiered Loyalty programs take it a bit further, providing a bit of pampering and ego massaging. If that floats your boat, then great. But...

Is it the finalised amount, or is it a pending authorisation?

While people may condescendingly reject something as a 'first world problem', the fact is, it is still a problem. Why shouldn't companies be called out for inaccurate descriptions of the product? I don't recall ever seeing the eggs as described in the Qantas Club. I have in the business lounge.

QF seem to have the most dynamic pricing out of all the airlines. Even when flights look near full, you often see some 'cheap' seats appear. It's more a game of cat and mouse with Qantas than with the other airlines that seem to have a more 'when they're gone, tehy're gone' mentality.

Is that a general offer (as that is what this thread is about)?

In what way do you consider that a poor offering? Effectively $10 back for spedning $60 isn't too bad?

I can't make head or tails out of how the double points thing works. Buying single items, I've had double the rounded down amount, double the rounded up amount, and various things in between.

Not too long ago, this bonus paragraph was added to the Qantas Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions/ Interesting.....

Whatever Qantas do in queuing these things seems to have made things go really slow in the last month or so. They usually eventually make it through the process, but I have found that contacting Qantas seems to get things pushed through quicker.

Bit of both. WOW were pretty clear they thought the old scheme was costing them too much, so it was never going to come back in its original form. From what I have heard, QFF were pretty tough to negotiate with so Woolworths walked away. That would have been ok, had they not come up with a crock...

I didn't even know you could set a preference before.

This is true of many many programs. the standard reward is a pittance. And from what I can see, far too many people are getting hung up on this. The true worth is in the promotions. But there needs to be a base level earning - this was a fatal flaw in the program put in place late last year.
