I attached a screenshot of the email when I aaked them to reconsider their decision. I'll ask them for a written confirmation so that I can take it further if needed. I can understand not giving me the points (as unfair it is), but threatening me is just unacceptable.

And once again, I'm the lucky one that draws the short straw. :-| I was actually looking into a car loan from Bankwest just the other day, but seeing how they deal with their customers, I'm not very keen to try out how they deal with things bigger than promotional points.

The one I received says the same. What they're saying is that I haven't clicked the link in my email and that's why I'm ineligible to receive the points. And although I have done everything according to the rules and should indeed get the points, that's the response the customer service rep got...

Do I need to ring Bankwest to change the estatement frequency? I've only received two since May and I can't seem to be able to find the option online.

Sorry if I missed this, but are you referring to e-statements or paper statements that incur a fee? I got my last e-statement (through the Self Service option) in September.
