Thanks, zainman. It did cross my mind at one point, but I wasn't sure when Ramadan was. Well, if I can there is transportation available and a shop here and there is open, I should be fine. Are the sights open for visitors during Ramadan, e.g. Burj Khalifa etc? Even then, I'd probably try to...

I booked mine for July and August, but somehow I doubt they'll have A380 flying that route by then. I'll be on a QF A380 onwards to LHR, though.

Hi, everyone. Since Qantas changed my PER–DBX–LHR flights (due to a change on Emirats' side, I presume), I ended up with 17 hours in Dubai. Given that it was error on their side (they changed my flights so my leg out of Dubai was supposed to leave 12 hours before I even left Perth), they...

I hope I can get a decent seat sometime later, or maybe try to upgrade the outgoing (red eye) flight as well. I don't have that many points, so I'm not sure if I'll have enough for another upgrade. Poor old me–I know...

Sorry, it was there and then it wasn't. Thanks for the advice. I checked SeatGuru, but it only mentions the proximity of the galley in row 1 (rows 1 and 2 are unavailable to me anyway). I'm not that fussed about CNS, but I'll do my best to enjoy SYD as much as possible.
