Can I suggest the thread title could be "the cost of free speech"

Transfer Sydney Domestic to Sydney International Terminal Option

If you are transferring to qfi then I'd use gate 15 and the QF transfer bus. I've never not been able to get on the next bus on domestic to international transfer. One Tuesday I was the only person for the bus at 8.30am

Transfer Sydney Domestic to Sydney International Terminal Option

The train fare between terminals varies by time of day in the $5-6 range. The airport access fee is capped at $25 per week so using the train with an opal card gets a lot cheaper after the first return journey in a week. The weekly and Sunday travel caps also apply the the normal fare. I've had...

    QF-EK broken promises

Last I heard insider trading is against the law. Im certainly no expert on this but, as far as I am aware the only condition imposed by the ACCC on the QF EK agreement is to maintain trans Tasman capacity. I presume doing this has resulted in benefit to users of that route and members of this...

    QF-EK broken promises

Agreed! He has a solid record in effective leadership and pork barrelling so he might even bring the bacon back. Seriously if these "broken promises" are an issue take your business elsewhere. Doesn't need regulator intervention.

Transfer Sydney Domestic to Sydney International Terminal Option

This is the bit I don't get about where these threads seem to end up heading. I'll almost always choose saving time over saving a few dollars. Having said that the train is much more convenient when leaving T2 compared to T3.

    Mr Shouty in the lounge

Or the classic "I'm at the airport waiting for the plane"

    QF enhancing again

Same here. Check in early and choose your seat if needed. Card works perfectly at the gate. And on topic I've never used one of the posts. While it is spinning it as an improvement it is fair to say that less clutter makes for a more pleasant experience.

    Mr Shouty in the lounge

The variant I find most annoying is the ones that patrol up and down a section of the lounge talking loudly on the phone. Spreading the joy to a wider audience.

Flight cancelled a day early due to wind?

There was a large military transport plane parked in the corporate / government section at Sydney last Wednesday as well

    Brisbane Lounge Changes

TBH I would have preferred $40 per passenger than the PP lounge when we went through. Good staff but it is very small.

    No-Doz, The Driver's Friend.

And getting crazier as it goes by the look of it. Fatigue is a major issue for air crew. Let's hope they don't apply the same logic as the op

    No-Doz, The Driver's Friend.

This is one of the reasons I like to travel by train. You never know who is on the roads.

    Tokyo Haneda 7 hour layover

As an alternative suggestion consider one of the Narita hotels like the Radisson or Hilton. Go there direct from flight and have a shower and a nap. Overnight rates can be close to $100 aud. Free bus to and from Narita airport and city. In the afternoon check out the Naritasan temple and...

    Brisbane Lounge Changes

Lounge closed today. Redirected to service desk between gates 79 and 80 where told to show boarding pass at plaza premium lounge. Entrance to the pp lounge was a bit of a zoo and it is a very small lounge. Staff were really good though and decent coffee.

    BBQ at Changi......

Boarding a plane means you place your absolute trust in the leadership and the crew of that aircraft. During a critical event they are charged with making any decisions and carrying out any actions beyond your immediate control. In this case the outcome was good and a bit of amusement around the...
