Worst Domestic Qantas Lounges & What Can be Done About It?

SYD T3 J lounge open today. They have moved the rear wall some metres into the footprint of the QPub. Seems to add an extra 15-20% seating space. Added another food station at the back and a third of the new space is dedicated to dining tables. Currently the same food there but spoke to staff...

Platinum caught out with VA baggage ex CBR

Remember there are humans that lift your checked bags and expect <23kg unless marked that it is some kgs heavier. I don't believe discretion comes into it at all, it is a WHS issue. You had a bag heavier than what was allowed (even for platinum). You should have it marked as excess weighted...

No not yet. I would be more likely to quietly think 'thank goodness' 🙏:) than get physically excited by an upgrade being confirmed.

Qantas Error Fare: First Class to Los Angeles from Sydney $4,299 return @qantas.com (several dates incuding xmas holidays)

I saw this minutes after the thread created and got a bit excited until I noted that it was for flights to USA. Yeah, nah. TBH I'm not sure this is a mistake fare; I've flown a number of first class cabins and reckon $4.2K for QF SYD-LAX return is about what it is worth. :p

    Qantas Courtesy Upgrade Love

What do you mean by recent years? I've been flying QF for 15 years, at least eight of those as WP, and have only had one opup in all that time. It was a female UM travelling BNE-SYD in which I was upgraded to keep the seat occupied next to her in J with the rest of the cabin being males.

Qantas Fare Rules - Changing one flight of a return

Yes that is correct. You won't be able to re-price just one leg of an itinerary that is changed, the whole ticket will be re-priced at current fares.

Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

Was in the MEL lounge yesterday 5th June and they still had Autumn menu (both breakfast and all day menus). Got there before end of breakfast, ordered breakfast salad of avocado, soba noodles, cripsy mushrooms, poached egg and nori. Salad arrived with no crispy mushrooms or nori, and with...
