I think QF are taking a risk here. If their Contract of Carriage winds up being ruled unenforceable by the Federal Court it's going to open up a much bigger can of worms for them.

It makes sense they would go high initially on a new route to try to establish what people are willing to pay for a non-stop flight. I imagine there'll be sale fares eventually.

Yes as long as the QR ticket has a QR flight number, access is based on your QFF membership tier, not the program you're crediting to.
