Thanks Serfty, Does this over rule the statement on the complimentary passes web page where it is states: "Complimentary invitations are a single-entry invitation for one person..." I presume they may argue this statement limits the pass to one, whilst I may argue a child does not count as one?

Trouble is Cathay increases the points cost significantly - hard to justify without a corresponding reduction in taxes (for me). That said if you've got buckets of points this is probably a more entertaining itinerary

If there is EK availability I wouldn't hesitate. When you're sitting in the seat with a glass of bubbly there will be no regrets regarding what you might of had.

Another vote for Ubank - just refinanced with them at 3.74%. I started out being tempted by a macquarie offer for bonus points, but when you crunch the numbers zero fees are more valuable than points.

$400 annual fee - ouch. Not for me at that price.

Friends of ours recently used this product flying LHR - MEL on QF9/10. The staff were happy to accommodate them, though insisted they used the window seat I recall. For the most part the staff were confused as none had ever seen the product.

I did experience that problem a few days ago - a legacy of some change in website functionality perhaps? I got around it by pressing on the frequent flyer link which brings up a drop down box, there is the ability to add your number successfully on the right side of this.

Cancelled my card yesterday (should of done it months ago) and had the fee refunded. I'll keep it for a further two months and consider it 60k points for free.

Hi all, i know I'm a chancer but..flying out of LHR on ek in y to Dubai. My connecting flight in Dubai is in J. Is there any chance I can argue my onward flight entitles me to access the ek lounge at LHR? Otherwise, which of the T3 paid lounges at LHR is best - Aspire or No1? Pierre
