I've now processed two renewals on my account at the discounted rate. Since reaching VA Gold, I was going to drop my QP membership. But for the little bit of QF travel I do, I can justify $235 per year.

I don't see how the retail value could be worth much more than a QP membership. Sure there are some great benefits but Deka2 is right, the buyer of something like this is an occasional flyer.
