Agreed. IMHO the 'welcome back' when they read the boarding pass at the door seems fine, but personalised greeting at the seat seems cringeworthy.

fwiw the compflight website has been throwing an error for me the past 2 days after entering passenger details, but the virgin call centre handled my booking straightforwardly.
