The next milestone is/was your 51st ! Everyone is a milestone in my opinion so don't look at the 'only' part of the 3litre Folly when you cracked the half ton, start thinking of the future Dr Ralph. Think 'I can add one litre a year' to the 'occasion' so by the time you are fifty nine, it will...

It's a bit like finding a needle in a haystack down on the bellarine farms. Most of my last few year pinot drinking were oldies from the Fo days, 2013 to 2016 but I am into a new generation now and buying for the longer haul. Getting oldies is too hard I have found.

I am a big fan of the Andrew Graham 'speak' and his honesty too. He is a tough marker but way better than James Halliday in my opinion with Sam Kim a distant four hundred and thirteenth. I used Winestate for my initial wine learning so if they gave it the shiraz of the year in the forty bucker...

I remember buying the eddystone for about $24 a couple of years ago. Unfortunately my limit applies. Thanks to those above, I hit up Nicks for a pickup. The Holm is in there plus a few others which read well around the review traps. Dannys is to come this weekend I feel. Let me chip in with one...

I need your help. What ONE pinot noir would you buy for under $30 that is not watery, has complexity and is damn nice? I am planning an expedition in there for the next week. Thanks in advance. Take the chance to dance and romance.

Signed up the better half and nabbed a sixer of the Rosenvale S 2020 after loving the previous one which may have been the 2016. I think the nett was $88 for 6. Like the frog stuff a great price point after all perks but I just had to be patriotic. Cue Edith Piaf . Non je ne regret rien mon...

I have rarely ventured out of the international borders of our great continent in my explorations into the taste worlds of the fermented grape juice so i would be very happy to get your wine adjectives and personal nuances into the taste profile of this highly scored and decantered French...

My day has not been wasted. '' When i bought the bottle it said 13.5% alcohol your honour and so I enjoyed it thinking I was safe to drive". Look young man", well the judge was nearly one hundred so everyone's young, "You didn't have to drink three bottles now did you !" Guilty. Of course I did...

I seem to order that one frequently but it ends up being out of stock all the time. Luckily I have the 'Fo stalwarts although I have made a serious dent into my stock which I am pleased about. My doctor isn't though.

Didn't expect to write this to be honest. What's the best bang for your buck these days on an ebike since I guess you are in the game, or were when this dropped?

After sampling a couple of Max's wines and using them as backup lawnmower fuel, I think these imports might just get the whipper snipper cutting all the hedges just identically. No thanks Penfolds.

The 2019 was a lovely refined specimen but my wine buying is still zip after 116 days going strong. Peeved I missed this one it but be strong beefarmer ! The Rosenvale GSM which landed last year too is a tad sweeter and a quaffer by comparison to the elegant VVR shiraz.

John Clark...... who's next ? Brian Doyle. Just about 3 months into the 6 month embargo and doing fine. Nice to read back on this forum. I like to look. The best thing I have read here after perusing the last twenty or so pages was the $60 off the Lakebreeze 3 pack. That was a beauty and the...

Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Have been drinking a few of my Tallarook whites lately, all 2018's, chadonnay, roussanne and marsanne. The marsanne is the least favourite as it's too lean but the other two are supurb. Can be had for about $50 for 6 which is very good. I am still on the non buying till July 1 so knocking a few...

Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Melbourne has been very warm lately, but you just have to get any opportunity to knock a red off. Last week a great grenache, can't remember the name, but tonight an old Vinimofo fave from a while ago, Maverick Twins 2013 GSM. Just a lovely full flavoured wine, great colour, nothing out of...

My last purchase before my now 'wagered, punted, bet, can't buy another wine till july 1 2022" bet with a friend was another Grays effort. The Byron and Harold Rose and Thorn Savvy B 2018. Landed it for $44, but nett $64.24 a case for 12 delivered. Damn fine drop. Not acidic and cats pithy as we...
