How are you getting to SCL? I haven't seen Qantas open up any availability in any class for 2024 yet, and you can't use Latam as they are no longer part of oneworld.

How does this work for classic awards? If I've got a Latam flight number, would Latam be able to select a seat if I called them? My QF PNR is not recognised by the Latam website. Edit: I was able to select via the RJ website and that seat is now showing on the Qantas website.

Exact same experience early last year - flying Y but they verified status before helping us.

On the contrary, I've agreed for an agent to book me a 60 minute I/D at SYD, which ticketed ok (Appeared to be manually, came in a text-only email). Ended up having my old man (platinum) call up once ticketed, explaining it was under MCT and a HBA agent gave me one flight later.

I used this fairly often for people flying different airlines, a loss for me.

I flew BNE-MEL on boxing day last year - cheapest flight in any cabin on any airline was VA biz for $299.

Total return won't go any earlier than this unfortunately, but 23 years is a decent sample size.

BNE is still running on the premium-light a330 which definitely hurts the chances.

Unfortunately trying to start a OWA so can't wait that long. Plenty of Latam availability, so planning to book to Auckland and surface sector to South America. Would have had an upgrade request in anyway which are very pricey for CR, so not too much extra in points and actually a decent saving...

I am booked from BNE-ADL on a mainline 737 reward fare, the flight before however is a F100 operated by Alliance. Am I able to turn up to the airport and ask to get on the earlier flight (as gold), or does this not apply? T&C is unclear whether just the flight I am booked on needs to be operated...

Nothing at all. I did submit an enquiry on the text contact form about lack of status credit rollover a couple of weeks ago to no reply - about the only relevant thing I can think of. Maybe support messed something up? Still showing as an October membership year.

So I've just logged on to the Qantas website this morning, to a banner at the top congratulating me for retaining gold. I have 123 status credits, and my membership year ends in October - I received gold through a status match challenge which I completed in Feb 2022. My status tracker now...
