    Qantas Brisbane Domestic Business Lounge

That looks pretty good…although as a weekly visitor I limit myself to salad ingredients only :/

    Hong Kong lounge

I think it’s very gate dependent and time dependent. For me QF suits more a quick duck in pre flight than being first port of call

    Qantas Platinum One experiences?

Received superb service at LAX F recently. Escorted to a table in the reserved section with the behind the bar champagne which was great. Very attentive service and premium hosts were introduced and walked me to the gate despite only flying J. Those flying F didn’t seem to get the same.

The view or two from my "office"

Wow Vancouver and the Pacific North west has cleared up so much in the past two weeks! I didn’t see much on arrival into YVR or SEA :( Back on the golden triangle office this week…wishing to be further afield

The view or two from my "office"

At the LAX office returning back to Australia. Reflecting on how status really makes travel smoother. Despite all the gripes people have I truly think there are tangible benefits. Thanks to being Marriott Ambassador they managed to secure a very generous checkout after 7pm which is handy for a...

The view or two from my "office"

From the Seattle and Boeing office today… Featuring the 777-9s due to enter commercial operation in 2025. 797s are also being talked about which will mirror the 757s The wildfires in BC are making the northwest a bit hazy

The view or two from my "office"

There are a few different hikes. They all start just up the path from the Chateau. That was taken at the top of little beehive. They have a tea house about 3km up then can climb further up from there. Would 100% recommend the walks. They’re moderately challenging mostly since there’s a bit of...

Qantas Business Class meals & menus

Recent YVR and only posting as I very briefly saw the menu and went with usual options expecting the humpty doo with rice and boi Choi etc to receive a different fish dish. It looks quite small but after a big feed in F and a relatively late departure you don’t want much more. Quite enjoyed...

Unusual to see an IB A350 in SYD Assuming it’s a FIFA charter unless they are wet leased?

The view or two from my "office"

If I was sitting in 1F I’d get a better view but had to make do…a lovely sunset makes up for a little extra flying time

    Qantas Business Class Headphones

I wouldn’t say no…back in the day when I actually flew Y I’d get J headphones and I took them home but yes the utility is limited as per above.

The view or two from my "office"

Single runway ops in SYD which mean an unusual landing path and lots of circling which is always fun for us golden triangle commuters

    Ritz Carlton Perth

Looks great! I had a quick personal stay and opted for Westin on points and got a huge suite. The club access granted via status made Westin a clear winner but on work I’d be tempted to give the RC a go as it looks a few notches above

    Qantas Platinum One experiences?

I understand this probably isn’t the best thread and this is a perennial topic of debate but I don’t get the comparison to VA. I see this on FB all the time and it truly baffles me. As a content QF flyer I don’t understand how you can compare. The ground experience is so subpar, there’s no...

Article: Why Does Everyone Want to Visit Europe in Summer?

It depends on each persons circumstances but as someone not bound by school holidays I’m a big believer in the shoulder seasons e.g. late May early June was great this year and I got EK F redemptions both ways. I lived in London for a while and vow never to visit when cold…Europe is just...
