I've done a few runs, including a couple back to back (ie. went to NZ twice in two days). A couple of times they asked me what I was doing, I said a status run for points (I think points is more easily understood than SCs), not an issue.

Given how busy the lounge is at that time IMHO chances of one free spa appointment are negligible let alone two, but do report back.

I got put up when the delay ended up being 27 hours. Even a 13 hour delay isn’t fair for you to find your own accommodation imho.

I preferred the EK lounge over even the QR a la carte dining area. But agree with trying them all and deciding for yourself!

I read a tip about putting something else you need and will notice if you don’t have it into the safe like a shoe. I did this and it saved me once!

Are alternative airports so close together for weather usual / would it be prudent to have a couple more further away? Surely weather would probably affect all three airports mentioned.

I posted on the upgrades thread of having two upgrades to J come through for my relative. I thought we'd get the results from T-7 days and definitely before they're meant to process upgrades for WPs from T-3 days, but they only come through about 30 hours before the flights. I did mock cash...

I personally don't reckon QF would yank CL access from judges or politicians ruling against or criticising them. (AFR distribution another matter.) Maybe by some miracle Hudson will agree perceptions aren't tenable, end CL access for pollies and give it to P1s instead :p
