    Sebel Noosa

Happy to leave it all to you. There are plenty of other well sited places to stay at Noosa and some for just a fraction of what you will pay at Accor.

    Sebel Noosa

Since Accor took over a couple of years back this resort is off the list for me. Our family used to book about 7 rooms with the previous owners, Sebel, in early January. Did so for over 7 years but stopped when Accor came in and would not provide the same deal. Accor are not customer friendly...

Bankwest Qantas Transaction account [being withdrawn in 2025]

Unfortunately, as with much in life today, those trying to rip off the system for massive personal gain, have once again "killed the golden goose" and forced Bank west to reduce the benefits that we regular users can obtain. Bank west should have closed down these scamming methods from the start...

What I REALLY want for my birthday QFF ...

Interesting reading all these 'dreamy' comments and I wish you luck but I don't ever see Qantas entertaining anything more than what they currently do. That way it costs them basically nothing because almost no one takes up the offer as it is either inconvenient of too little to bother with.

Why do baggage handlers throw baggage?

Not good enough. If you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen. Do the job correctly or not at all. If you can't lift 27Kg you should not be doing this job as that is the allowable weight is it not?

    Learn from this one

There's more to this than meets the eye and pre-existing conditions may have been a big factor - in any case it is scary that a hospital would just turn off life support equipment without notice. I think I would have rung the Australian Embassy urgently if I was involved in such a situation.

Pax kicked off Air NZ flight for ignoring safety briefing

I fully agree with the need to be refreshed on aircraft safety no matter how many times you fly and I always stop and pay 100% attention for the briefing each time I fly - BUT REALLY, the Air NZ video is a can of over-the-top talk-dance-song which I detest watching or listening to. Why can't...

    AMEX not accepted or surcharge

I have phoned Amex and given them details of the business where we shop regularly but where they won't accept Amex but am not sure they will do anything.

    AMEX not accepted or surcharge

This page does not allow one to list a business or view the map for location either. I don't think Amex want to expend any effort on this problem anymore.

Veterans to receive Priority Boarding & "thank you for your service"

As a Veteran I applaud the sincerity of the gesture being offered by VA but like most of my colleagues I do not want visible recognition as happens in USA. I am happy that I served my country to protect the values that we Australians hold dear but do not want to see Australia follow the path of...

14yo PAX denied SYD-MEL using Oz PP as ID - needed School ID

Sorry Mannej, I'm new to this and was just reading the article but was blind to the date. Will be more careful in future. Thank you.

14yo PAX denied SYD-MEL using Oz PP as ID - needed School ID

When will common sense ever be allowed by people in charge? Jetstar is the last airline I would ever fly with after they cancelled my flights with out any notice to me but to deny that two 14 yo girls would not be in secondary school shows very poor judgement and responsibility. Rules are there...

Double dipping in HKG for CX and Qantas Business lounges?

I just love the Qantas lounge at HK but am flying Cathay next year and will have many hours to kill so will be testing some of Cathay's lounges. Thanks for the advice given here.

Are one-off paid Qantas Club entires worth it?

Depends on how often one flies. If a couple makes 3 flights a year, that's 4 lounge visits per return flight so 3 x 4 = 12 lounge accesses which equates to near $480. Seems to me then that a membership would be better value and if going overseas, even better value.

CEO refuses to put tablet on flight mode 10 Nov

Can't believe that I have read here "---- but there are others who do it and get away with it!" What sort of a school boy mentality is that? "he's got a lolly so I should be given one too!" Just maybe the pilots and FAs have devices that are specially adapted for in-flight use? Let's just worry...
