The NZ routes are on sale too atm and as a result the classic plus rewards are less than what you would normally pay for the classic reward.

False alarm. All the SCs and DSCs landed but in bizarre order with the first 2 flights arriving the last. Overall, almost 300 SC for 20k miles :)

If your flight isnt till August, and you dont need the points back immediately, just wait and see if there is any involuntary schedule changes. I had a 10 minute change on a flight and that was enough to get the cancellation fee waived.

Great find. I played around with the dates and found what you mean. Although, this particular one is not an A330, it might still be worth it for an SC run :) Edit: Have you seen this work with any other city pairs? Or is this limited to CNS only? Re-edit: Seems to work with Australian city...

Currently on a status run to use up the last of those 20k AS qantas redemptions booked during the DSC ("not possible anymore with the new award chart") I havent had the SC for my first flight post yet. Probably panicking too early but they usually post within 30 mins of landing 🤣

Does AS redemptions on QF as points club no longer earn SC?

It would be interesting to see how the fares would compare booking on VA code vs the NZ code for the same flight. Would there be cost penalty to the customer to offset the commission that VA pays NZ?
