The Galata Tower stands above all the other buildings on the Taksim side of Istanbul.

As do I! They do grow in Adelaide, but having tried a couple of times, I just don't think my garden gets enough sun. Or it gets too much. Or they don't like sand. Or maybe I am just rubbish at gardening :D

Love those pink frangipanis! I tried to grow them once, and completely failed. Not the first plant I have failed with, and probably won't be the last.

Yesterday we visited Plitvice Lakes, Croatia. We saw hundreds of waterfalls in the national park here. It was fairly busy (I would hate to come here in July or August!!) but well worth a visit. We spent about five hours wandering around having a look.
