Problem I see with QR through Velocity is plenty of phantom seats.

Lots of phantom Qatar rewards show as bookable, but you get to the payment stage, and it won't book. I've had trouble finding any Business rewards to EU at any time of the year with Velocity.

Yeah, I got an offer last week for a PER-BNE red-eye on the 737. Wasn't going to take it up (had to cancel the trip, anyway).

I for one, have contacted my MP on this front (about 8 weeks ago). Got no response to an email, so gave his office a call. Asked them for a response - nothing yet.

Just be aware they're asking for ID - so you can't sign up your dog/cat etc...

I always use InsureandGo for my overseas Insurance. They always seem to have a discount code on Ozbargain (GROUPON20 currently gets you 20% off), and both times I've had to make a claim (different trips), they've paid out very quickly. They're also very good with certain pre-existing conditions.

Further update: Just received an email with a confirmed ticket from QF - and the app is no longer showing "Waitlisted". Finally, what an ordeal. Plenty of wasted hours.

I actually had one of these book! A BER-DOH-PER in J. Got a confirmation number, a pending transaction on my CC for the taxes - but when I called (didn't receive an email with the ticket), I was told that it didn't exist.
