QF used to provide a couple, or maybe it was 3? months QP membership when someone soft landed to Silver. Maybe they still do that, which is what happened to the OP.

I have done this in the days of being a Gold QFF. Day trip for a 3 hour workshop, worked from lounge from morning til lunch. Besides a comment of "you're very early", I was admitted without fuss.

Disappointed Airbus couldn't make a good pivot bin for the A320neo series and went back to shelf bins. The Boeing Sky Interior looks much better IMO, really opens up the cabin for a better passenger experience. Yes, I know that they're harder to close, though I never had an issue with that.

Okay so it was processed over the phone as card-not-present. That does help a lot. Out of curiosity, does anyone know if QF has any ticketing offices at airports that can physically process a payment without having to call someone?

Did they just take your card and process it as a card-not-present transaction, or was there an eftpos machine used somewhere with pin?
