Back at work today after the Fiji trip. This time last week the Nut's had a ripper time at Cloud 9 on the Malolo Barrier Reef. Swimming, snorkeling, beers, pizza, chilling. This is absolutely worth every cent we spent and then some. Cloud 9 Party deck below, top deck for lounging. Top deck view.

Yesterday's office, Fiji Air flight back to Canberra that was no where near as feral as the flight over. The Fiji Air lounge was busy but excellent with a breakfast buffet that Qantas should take note of. For a lounge with no view, it was very comfortable, table service for coffees and didn't...

Speaking of the Fiji Gateway office meals were good and nice place to stay. Been upgrading the resorts rooms, facilities etc including more accommodation under construction right out the back of our room but we knew that. In the Fiji Air lounge ATM, nice for a lounge with no views. ...no it's...

Oh to have a carpark view, we've got a construction site right out the back of us! We're heading back to CBR tomorrow and overnighting at the Fiji Gateway Hotel and they're extending the resort. Nice spot for a stop over.

Popped around to the Plantation Is golf course this morning for a look and booked in for a round tomorrow morning. During our walk we came across the resorts crop farm of various sorts. Makes sense to grow as much of the fresh stuff to save on freight (barge mostly) costs. Pineapples and...

Plantation Island, Fiji. Just as we were sitting down for dinner. Was the curry night buffet, for a 'feed the masses' the spread was excellent and the Fijian lamb curry with biryani rice was our pick. Sunset on Plantation...

The view or two from my "office"

Walking around downtown Nadi yesterday, not many tourists about. It's a bit sketchy in a fun way. A taxi driver said a lot of tourists go straight from the airport to Denarau and/or onto the resorts. It's a shame because there are plenty of shops that could do with a few tourist dollars. When...

Yesterday's rather feral flight from CBR to NAN. Fiji Airlines were great all round. Pity a good chunk of the clientele think it's ok to let their toddlers run amuck - up the front of the aircraft. Sitting down the back on the return flight. As for Fiji, great flight, service was friendly and...

    Worse than feet on bulkheads

No pics but just got off the most feral effing flight we've ever been on from CBR to NAN. Toddlers in full belt, lazy parents just sitting there, people in bare feet and toddlers crawling up and down the isle (yuk, if only their parents knew) and we were in front row of economy - lesson for us...

Apologies Syd, misunderstood your comment. Yeh, NFI why QF put the J lounge out the back. They could have configured it differently in the design phase, something along the lines of the old MEL lounges where the QP and J lounges were side by side but could have designed in different entrances.

@ Prozac, nice. In deed Yoda channeling am I. @ SYD, I get why QF does it. It's so quiet and running two lounges just isn't worth it. Shame the J lounge has a view of the car park but you can get glimpses of the Brindabellas.

Off on our Fiji holiday today, been looking forward to this for a while. First stop was suppose to be the QP but it's closed today and redirected to the J lounge. It's fairly quiet in here.THB, much prefer the QP, it's airside views are fantastic. Qantas Canberra J lounge
