    Another Jetstar whinge

I've never had to pay for luggage or anything else at check in (in Australia). Is it normal to finish the check in and pay somewhere else later? I always imagined you would pay at the check in counter or at least pay somewhere first. It sounds like old grandma thought she could pull a swifty...

An Open Letter to my fellow AFF members - External Influence on this website

Interesting discussion, but nothing has really come out to support the OP accusations, I.e. nothing more serious than QF having a few fans here. Equally you see as many posts telling you how terrible everything about Qantas is. Some of those will also say they never fly Qantas. So much knowledge...

Qantas Lounge Pass Portal Not Working?

My problem was different to that. The lounge passes are there, but when I attempt to link them to a flight, it says to try again later. This is the problem I had when I first started this thread but it went away after a few weeks. I just solved it this time by transferring the passes to another...

Qantas Lounge Pass Portal Not Working?

Has anyone managed to allocate lounges in the past week. After clicking Get pass next to a booking and putting in the authentication code, I keep getting the error "Unable to retrieve information . Please try again later." I've tried again later many times on desktop and app.

Booked a QF flight from ADL to MEL yesterday and then discovered it was on a Bombardier.

Nothing like someone declaring the conversation to be closed after first having another say.

Complimentary credit card travel insurances - Any adequate ones?

Off topic again but your comment needs a response. Houses are more expensive due to the cost of land. It has nothing to do with fancy gadgets and the like. Do some research on the cost of housing (or land) compared with average income. Give me 17% rates with 1980s pricing and salaries any day.

    Woolworths gift card thread

You should be aware that booking through Webjet adds on a serving fee and a booking price guarantee fee. E.g I just did a dummy booking MEL ADL return on Qantas at $165 each way. The total charge would be $364.04. That is a 10.3% markup.

Everyday Rewards launches Everyday Extra subscription product

No. Infact Woolworths are still pushing some offer from Feb to me that no amount of cache clearing and the like will get rid of.

    Made any travel mistakes lately?

Assuming I would avoid international conversion fees paying Ubers and Lyft by PayPal linked to my 0% international conversion fee debit card. No, PayPal converted all transactions to AUD first. So fees paid and 0 points earned. 😡

Australia's credit card debt accruing interest is staggering $18 billion

I do like @JohnM 's points but I have to agree with you here Lynda. Banks make a profit on cards by two means. One is interest and the other is a percentage of every purchase. Bonus offers are to surely entice high spenders across to get a cut of their spend. Most people don't churn and after a...

    Coles gift card offers

Each to their own, but I wouldn't value 2000FB at $20, more like $10. And those $100 cards @jokes128 is buying come with a $5.00 activation fee. So to me each is now worth about $5 in bonus points. Even with your value, surely one experience like jokes128 has had would negate any benefit. My...

    Coles gift card offers

This all seems a lot of risk/ hassle for 2000 FB points per card. I have been fortunate with no issues in a few 10% off virtual cards I have bought, but I think one incident like jokes128 has experienced would put me off for life.
