Yes flying in Y on a cash fare.

I have a return journey (booked via QF) originating in Australia on QF and connecting to KUL on MH. I can manage my QF booking via the MH website, but seat selection for the MH legs is currently paid. Does anyone know if this changes to free for standard seats once online check-in opens?

PER - ADL min ($120) + $70, accepted t-25 for 2pax. I never received an "outbid" email, although the bid portal recommended me to bid $210 to be "1st". Maintained my $190 pp bid & it paid off. Keen to try Virgin J for the first time, usually fly QF.
