I have done advanced purchase bookings for Australian Hiltons and you usually get charged hours or days after. The name of the transaction is the hotel name itself, exactly the same as flexible bookings, so it should still work. Worked on the Surpass when the $50 USD credits were introduced.

The Hotel Woolstore 1888 is apparently now ALL participating as part of the Handwritten Collection, not surprised as it is one big group of Accor Hotels in that part of Darling Harbour. Booked it on QF Hotels and the room wasn't bad. It is quite small though. Didn't see them having a buffet...

QQ, It looks that the Ibis Budget Status points rate is 5 points /1 EUR excluding taxes, which is less than Ibis itself. I guess the goal is to get elite nights on the cheap when staying in an Ibis Budget and getting elite status that way, not through Status Points.

Found a really good Ibis Sydney Darling Harbour red hot room rate, all for $90 a night. Accor Plus doing its thing. Definitely an off peak season + with the construction works over there.

Booking Jetstar on the Qantas website still has the max fare available but it would be more expensive most of the time. Flight Centre seems to still sell the Starter Max fare but again seems a bit more expensive (especially with no Club Jetstar). Not sure how long will this last though.

A decent win with this, looks like all you need is the app and go to the very bottom to select Premier. 2-3x more expensive than UberX though with the current 40% off promos.

Coming back to this one now, bought an accommodation gift card ($250) and transaction came through the same way. Zero catches. Credit came 3-4 days later. Noting the 2% surcharge also applies to gift card purchases (same as the hotel). Resort Credit all used for the first half of the year.
