    Strategy to obtain US Amex

If you can find a way to use all the benefits of the US cards that is a win. The Hilton Aspire is one of the easy wins - Free Night that is easy to use since standard rooms are available most of the time except for some famous resorts - $250 Resort Credit which does have some hurdles but can be...

MAS Business points given as Flexible Economy

Any earn between Australia and Asia flying other oneworld partners on their codes seems to be halved or even less than that. Happens when you fly on CX, MH, BA or JL out of Australia on their codes. Intra Asia still seems to be worth it though, goes back to the full SC rate.

Credit Card Offers CommBank Ultimate Awards Card: 100K award points – potentially fee free

Might be a good time to combine the current ipaymy offer with the Ultimate Awards card to pay off ATO bills and get the bonus points with no fee, hitting the 4k spend. Problem is I still need to wait a month to be eligible for the bonus points again. Edit: If you want something easier to spend...

    Best Sunshine Coast Accor property?

Thanks for the suggestions above. Also looking at this and the Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort looks great with the current off peak rates but its a matter of catching public transport and it looks like a 25 minute walk to the nearest bus stop. Is there any good transportation around the area...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I signed up to Zip when it was first introduced so it might not have been as stringent with applications back then. Overall still a smooth experience with Bpay and the repayment to credit card.

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

If you pay all of it off every month there will be no fees. Zippay is now fee-free for all BPAY transactions since February.

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

There is always Zippay as another no Bpay fee option if Beemit puts a stop to credit cards but you can only go as far as the assigned credit limit given ($1000 or $2000). At least it works for every credit card I think except for Suncorp ones. So far all the banks give out points. No errors so far.

    New Amex statement credits

With the 2 Ampol offers at the same time, saw two Amazon Gift cards in the Ampol store and decided to spend on that. Made 2 transactions on it. Both Amex Offers went through, pretty neat.

Qantas double status credits OR double points offer [book 23-28 March 2023]

Heard the DSC runs on QF-booked Emirates flights in F to Christchurch was fun for a while though!

Qantas boosts international capacity, wet lease Finnair aircraft

Probably gonna serve as a connection to AY flights from BKK, where J class to Europe via Helsinki is as cheap as you will get

    New Amex statement credits

So many hotel offers that I have yet to use, preferably I would go to a place that doesn't have a major chain to use the Qantas hotels offer but $200 off (PC+ voucher + $100 Amex Offer) is a serious discount. Might forego the elite benefits for a discount this time...

$100 off return Qantas flights to QLD (book by 19 May 2023)

Didnt know it was the first 2000 bookings only, maybe it was indeed funded by Queensland Tourism. Too late for me though :(

Amex FHR bookings and status nights

Can confirm that the Hilton Melbourne prepaid hotel collection rate worked for me, got the nights + HH points. Recognised me as Diamond as well.

Some London establishments unable to use Amex contactless, need the chip

Interesting to hear these stories for the UK and the US, will make sure to bring the US physical card then especially for supermarkets where it is 6x points on with the Hilton Surpass and 4x MR for the Gold card.

    Qantas Points Club Discussion

Deep down inside do wish we could get guaranteed SCs for reward flights with oneworld partner airlines at say a 30% rate of the class as a PC+ member but indeed that would open up a whole can of worms and enhancements lol. Plus it takes a bit more programming. Oh well...

Cathay "World of Winners" promo - discounted tickets to Hong Kong

Sounds like we need to use our Asia miles number for the flight... well at least it gives us the chance to upgrade to J using points. Since it's class O we will likely not earn QF points anyway if we could switch to QFF.

    Strategy to obtain US Amex

Hmm looks like even for the mid tier US Amex cards MyUS still comes through with it. Not sure if its because I have a unique name and its the only one on their system. Have to still cop $20.99 USD to send the package but I will accept it. Sort of thinking about the Bonvoy Brilliant but holding...
