Rex in voluntary administration, ending all 737 services

I agree actually. I think RSVKanga and N860CR have made their point (many times over now). I come back to see some fresh discussion or news but it's been the same for several pages of comments now.

Booked flexible (pay at hotel) rate but charged at time of booking?

I'd be cancelling an instigating a refund and booking elsewhere. Hotels stuffing around with charging cards without authority are a big reason to not stay with them in my book.

Rex in voluntary administration, ending all 737 services

They had up to 8 a day at times. I've said it before but the service they offered was fantastic, regardless of all the criticism in this thread. It is true management stuffed things up severely, the money they spent flying empty aircraft around for the last couple of years should have been...

Rex in voluntary administration, ending all 737 services

Or just fly Qantas or Virgin? Wouldn't that be a lot easier

Rex in voluntary administration, ending all 737 services

I have been a big fan of flying with Rex on the 737s, I am hoping it can be turned around. The hard product is actually great, lovely crews, good reliability. They are a pleasure to fly with.

Qantas adds Brisbane-Manila but suspends Sydney-Shanghai flights

As has been mentioned, what is sorely missing from the Qantas schedule is the overnight flight AUS - Singapore, it should be from Melbourne for sure, connections onto morning Jetstar Asia services around Asia. The day flight back would be very popular. I'd even consider a JQ flight with those...

Rex launches its own frequent flyer program (in October 2023)

They will wanna improve the program a heck of a lot between now and then

    Rex slashes domestic business fares!

It's interesting to see even Qantas offering $550 BNE-MEL business fares these days and Virgin around $430. This seems more in line with what we see in the USA for flights of 1 to 2 hours in the domestic first class cabins.

Rex threatens to ban Tasmanian mayor for criticising airline’s price gouging

This seems to be the only way Rex get their name out and about. They don't seem to do much by the way of marketing otherwise which is a shame as they do provide a good service.

ACCC action re cancelled Qantas flights

Really? Qantas and Jetstar combined carry about 27% of the traffic in and out of Australia.
