Rex in voluntary administration, ending all 737 services

I think it's a good move by the govt this time. We need a viable and profitable Rex operating regionally and hopefully even restoring some old routes. Fares are already astronomical regionally and letting QFLink be the sole operator on a lot of routes where they do cross over is not a good...

Qantas MEL-PER 787-9 service on Thursdays

Used to be a nice reliable A330 run the old QF497 timing at 22:05 now called QF499 at 22:00 and usually a 737. I enjoyed those quiet A330's back in the day, plenty of seats in business available

Advice: re pursuing possible misleading Economy X pricing display on Virgin website

I used this promo and the up front economy x seats priced as full price but I booked the exit rows as those were the ones that were $15. OP is in the wrong here and needs to just leave it at that.

Article: Why Governments Monopolise Regional Routes

There's been quite a lot of articles mentioning the ATR42-600S as a Lord Howe capable aircraft. QFLink only allow 14 kg baggage on these services

How does Accor treat you as an Elite guest?

I stayed here recently and didn't rate it. Very small rooms. The executive lounge had people walking around in it with bath robes during evening canapes (straight from the connected pool area) - can't say I've seen that before in the lounge. Should have been kicked out but were not.

    Qantas DSC October 2024 Offer - book by 31/10/24 & fly 1/11/24-19/10/25

I'm really just referring to the ability to use the Qantas website as you could before to build a multi city same day classic flight reward that prices as a single award rather than individual ones. It is absolutely nothing to do with having a good travel agent. (I have been one and still have...

    Qantas DSC October 2024 Offer - book by 31/10/24 & fly 1/11/24-19/10/25

Agree however in the past you could build quite complex itineraries that don't necessarily display like the above, I've done things like BNE-SYD-MEL-HBA by building them in the old search engine and it priced as a single award, or even more crazy routings. You can also spend a whole day in...

    Qantas DSC October 2024 Offer - book by 31/10/24 & fly 1/11/24-19/10/25

I'm looking at multi city and choosing flexible dates rewards but I am not seeming to be able to combine for example a same day MEL-CBR and CBR-SYD into one 8,000 point reward. Is this functionality gone? It's pricing like this: In the past this would be 8,000 points total.

American Airlines - First Class upgrades

Upgrades on AA are not a perk of being a Qantas elite. You need to be an AA elite for that. If you want an upgrade you need to look at the app for paid upgrade offers.

    King Charles Visit 2024

Does anybody know who HM flew with from London to Singapore? Media reports said it was a commercial flight and with the time of day they departed SIN on the RAAF flight it seemed only SQ could connect to it without lengthy transits. The Queen had travelled ahead of the King, presumably also...
