Now that AA has ditched the 4 sector requirement, its easier than ever to maintain AA plat bring based solely in AU. Has anyone done a calculation on whats easier to maintain - AA exe plat or QF plat? It would seem that AA status allows you more freedom when choosing which OW airline to fly...

I would have sold those points for $400 and bought the headphone at harvey norman with $150 leftover. Ofcourse, you are in violation of the T&Cs of the program and risk a ban if not careful - but violating the T&Cs is not illegal and i question the legality of the QF FF T&Cs in the first place.

The great thing about AA is that you dont need to fly 4 sectors to achieve / maintain a status, so its much easier for people to get AA status even if they never set foot on US soil then the other way round with QF

Except, you know, VA is not a heavy weight... its basically still a domestic airline relying on partners to fly to international destinations.

Anyone who booked via voucher purchased during the 2X SC period but did not see them post? It's been a week and mine hasn't posted (i received a confirmation email on registration). How do you go about explaining this to Qantas customer service?
