    Carbon Tax

Re: Qantas sticking to charging passengers for carbon tax I think the Labor party have been taking that approach for a couple of years now...Abbott is this misogynist (with a wife, three daughters and tough-as-nails female chief of staff) moron (university graduate, Rhodes scholar with Oxford...

I wonder what effect all the government handouts will have on inflation in general.

    How Amex calculates interest..

What I have never understood - I pay off the debt in full 2-3 times per month. If when the statement comes out I have racked up $1000 in new debt since paying the card off the week before do I still need to pay that 1000 off?

    Flexible with dates??

Someone mentioned in passing that they had more options for FF Classic awards when they did not check "flexible with dates". I have been having a look and the selection is significantly reduced when you try to be flexible. Weird.

Refund for Swedish woman forced to sit near corpse during Air Kenya flight

I have no problem with the fact that a corpse in flight has to be left somewhere. However if a patient is visibly ill on boarding it should not be left up to random doctors to tell the airline what to do. Someone sick enough to make the cabin crew suspicious is too sick to fly. No destination...

Gen Y doesn't care about Qantas

Where do you start with this kind of article. The survey was designed for political purposes. It was only published because it got the outcome the designers wanted. Maybe they have run the survey one or fifty times with the opposite outcome and chosen not to publish. No statistical...

Refund for Swedish woman forced to sit near corpse during Air Kenya flight

I can't see that she should be entitled to anything although it's a nice gesture. But I wonder what liability the airline has for the death? If he was doing that before takeoff there are numerous treatable causes that could be responsible and prompt medical attention might have saved his life.

Approaches for dealing with 'electronic devices off'

I doubt we could find any instances of someone being sued for saying "please turn that off for our safety".

    Watch out insurance 'disaster'

Now things are returning to normal we made our calls and are getting everything back except one hotel night. QF holidays are giving a credit. I'm dumping my credit card. And we are planning a very nice holiday in summer. Life's too short. Most importantly you are covered on my ANZ platinum card...

    Who pays for WIFI?

http://www.firststreetonline.com/Specials/New+Arrivals+-+May+2012/Super+WiFi+Antenna.axd You would buy it in/from the US but it should work here. -it isn't solely for hijacking someone's signal. You could use a legitimate open signal or find a cheaper paying service -it looks cool -it may...

Priority boarding on QF domestic - what is the story?

I could see crowds of people being turned away at the front so just proceeded through the increasing scrum and got on. I have had similar problems at big events where I need to join family backstage or in other restricted areas (and don't have the option of "boarding last"). People have...

    Who pays for WIFI?

Pick up a wifi antenna in the US for $115. Reaches a mile, stick it on the window and use the McDonald's signal. It's on that yuppie website that sells gadgets for "baby boomers and beyond".
