Just a quick update on this one. After contacting the GM we were refunded for the night's accommodation due to the power outage. I'm happy with how the GM dealt with this once escalated.

Thanks Markis, I didn't think of gift cards. I assumed, as per the conditions of a previous fuel offer, that they would be excluded. Looks like only wish cards are excluded according to the T&Cs. Should make the spend easily now.

$150 each week for 3 weeks for a $30 gift card here. Very doubtful I'll hit the required spend of $450 over three weeks, but I activated it anyway just in case. Also received 200 points for $20 in deli offer yesterday, should get that one nicely.

I've noticed a big increase in offers too for me. I quite like fuel offers myself though, even if I only fill up once every couple of weeks it represents a decent portion of my EDR points

My initial thoughts were, yes, definitely chase SG. However, I see you are WP and my opinion is thus that it depends on whether or not she does a lot of travel where you couldn't guest her into the lounge. If she does intend to travel a lot without you, it could well be worth making a SC run.

150 for $30 Deli spend for me. About to head to Darwin for a week so won't be taking it up. Also think the spend requirement is a little high purely on deli items.

I'm hoping by shopping there I'll start getting some big w and BWS offers too. Looking out for attractive receipt offers for BWS from woolies at the moment and hoping that spend will trigger further targeted offers.

Agree with the comments above. I do Y+ to/from 2-3 times a year and while their Y+ is great, the J experiences I've had (1 op-up and 1 points upgrade) were a big step up.

Yes I fear because I registered for the meat offer, which I intended to use but didn't, that I may not be triggering subsequent meat offers. Double points weekend was great and have received some decent fuel ones too recently, so no stress.
