Suspected food poisoning Virgin Sydney lounge

Salmon Ella … didn’t he play for the Raiders in the 90’s? Food poisoning generally takes only a few hours for you to notice the effects, but being infected by the Salmon Ella bacteria can apparently take a tad longer as it can hang around longer than it normally takes food to pass through from...

    Is 'bussing' common?

^ I think I’d be impressed & well-entertained if I were in F or J and got to enjoy a bar on the bus … it’d more than make-up for the existence of the bus. :)

Lost personal item on Qantas Domestic flight

Good to see that those two people standing around doing nothing don’t have access to the lost&found emails … … anything good in that box which I could share with DC3?

    Is 'bussing' common?

Murphy’s Law says that this post proves you’re expecting & have planned for the bus … so it won’t happen.

    Is 'bussing' common?

J on CI was a bit like this … J priority queue, walk out to bus, then wait ‘til it’s jam-packed with Y+J before it heads to the ‘plane. At least we were in F on the EK A388 to AKL … entire A388 via the front stairs, to a bus, lucky we were out first!

    Is 'bussing' common?

I suspected (apparently incorrectly) that an airline’s “home port” likely gets that airline better access to facilities, although I guess it’d depend on the flights:aerobridges ratio. I’d kinda think at SYD, the chance of a bus to board a QF A380 would be massively smaller than anything run by...

    Is 'bussing' common?

Is it maybe the airline rather than the origin or destination that’s the determination?

    Is 'bussing' common?

In my opinion the world has enough gates at airports where buses are used for “common” to be a valid description, if the stated context wasn’t just Melbourne airport. Given how large an airport TPE is, I was a little surprised with how many of these remote gates they had! I may be...

Article: The Benefits of Sitting at the Back of the Plane

A lot of people agree with you on this … but on the wide-bodies I’ve noticed, Row 1 is also close to the toilets … does that bother you? I mostly ask because that hasn’t occurred to me previously, yet I’ve always accepted it as an issue up the back. Except short-haul, short-haul it makes no...

Article: The Benefits of Sitting at the Back of the Plane

I just remembered the risk I was toying with ... they wouldn't use the rear stairs in SYD if it was raining. So I was gambling on the weather ... is that smart?

Article: The Benefits of Sitting at the Back of the Plane

Yeah as a status-free zone, when work had a project in Brisbane it was worthwhile for me to go with VA (because they used the rear door & QF didn't) and book the last or 2nd-last row. The customer's office was directly above ... I can't remember whether Central or Vulture Street, but with only...

I feel safe, that guy’s way less fugly than me, the Arnies apparently don’t hunt down the fuglies (no gene-pool threat I guess).

If I hadn’t met you & didn’t know you so well, @TonyHancock, I’d have suspected that wasn’t the photo I took last week & was generated by AI!! I know how touchy you are about your hands so I was surprised you even let me take it.

    Scams like these

I'm finding an increasingly large number of legit sites having a pop-up onscreen which looks like a chat session, with WhatsApp in the header of the pop-up. The reason I know they're scam links is because some of them have text like "Do you like my body?" or similar, although others have...

AI will be the end of forums like AFF, FlyerTalk etc

It makes me wonder, albeit in a "not really interested enough to spend time on it" kinda way, the source of the incorrect info. It can go to the horses' mouth and get the correct info from numerous airline sites as well as the OneWorld site, and it probably does/has, but in order to come back...
