    Qantas site a mess

So here's a thought.... SC seem to now frequently post before a flight has left the gate, and in one case I've seen them post before boarding has started. So...what happens if you check-in but don't actually board the flight?

    Row 4 - 737

How long before the flight did you do this, and did it indeed stick all the way through to getting a boarding pass? In my experience it's possible to select the seats on the MH site, but not pay. The seats will be allocated to you, but after a few days they disappear. It would be great if...

Losing QFF points and calling in the media

As a consumer, is that my concern?

    Qantas site a mess

I'm guessing the "quirk" is that your card hasn't been charged? When it gets ticketed, it will be. Best to get it sorted now, rather than when you're at the airport. You also won't be able to check-in online unless it's ticketed.

    Qantas site a mess

I flew from Melbourne on Friday night, on what became a heavily delayed flight. No sign of points during the weekend, then was sitting in the lounge last night waiting to return, and noticed points and status credits had appeared. Got home and looked again, and noticed it was the flight home...

Losing QFF points and calling in the media

Oh, I didn't realise they'd changed that. In that case, I take back what I said. It seems like end of story on this whole expiring points issue. Those are the rules, and if Qantas are making sure everyone knows when they're due to expire, I can't see what the issue is. Does anyone have an...

Losing QFF points and calling in the media

Without really wanting to comment on particular circumstances, it does seem that it wouldn't be hard for Qantas to send out at email, with an appropriate subject line, warning people that their points are due to expire in some number of months. The fact that they instead bury this detail in what...

A new "high" on QF First [Denied sparkling water before departure from LAX]

I note from a previous post that you had this same experience on an Emirates flight. It seems remarkable to have experienced this on both Qantas and Emirates. Are you sure this was a Qantas flight?

Double Status Credits (book by 5/2/18, fly 12/2/18 to 20/1/19)

I wonder - did this only appear after the system update overnight? I have a bunch of spurious transactions showing in my account, but they haven't affected the total shown. Could this just be related to that?

    Qantas site a mess

I've logged in, and it all looks mostly the same. However I notice the messages for points activity from flights has changed. For example, it now says: QF 0479 E 22-APR-18 SYD/MEL Notice there's no mention of the class, and the format has changed a little. There also seem to be some spurious...

    QC Complementary Lounge Passes [QF*EK]

From the subject of this thread I assume we're talking about Qantas Club Passes, not a membership, in which case there's no access to the lounge in Dubai, as it must be a Qantas operated lounge. But access is available in Perth. If your daughter had a QC membership, she would have access in Dubai.

    Qantas’ 787s [range discussion]

In fact HEL-LHR will earn 60SC, so the total ends up the same (albeit with one extra stop). This is more a happy coincidence than anything else, however..

QANTAS booking made, but I don't seem to have paid

I've had one sorted out at the airport. The booking appeared normal except that no charge had been made to my card, I couldn't check-in online, and I suspect (but didn't check) it hadn't been ticketed. The check-in agent had to call someone over, then make a call to somewhere, but it got fixed...

Singapore QF lounge access (QF Codeshare)

That's very interesting! As usual, it's worded in a way that's possibly ambiguous. Though it does say for Qantas Club: So perhaps access should be granted based on that? And I notice the conditions are basically the same for the Melbourne Business lounge. I wonder if this has been reworded...

    Qantas site a mess

I noticed the same thing, but figured it might be intentional. ie. they only want to show bookings with at least one QF flight. It also now shows each flight separately under the list of 'bookings', even when it's a couple of connecting flights. Perhaps the backed query was written by a new...

    QF announce non-stop Perth-London B787 Services

This comparison is a little unfair. The 787-9 has to carry a lot of extra fuel to cover the extra range, and so it needs a stronger structure to carry the weight. This is one of the tradeoffs airlines and aircraft manufacturers have to deal with. A plane designed for a shorter range can shed a...

    Seat change post check-in

I recall a similar experience where changing my seat in MMB didn't stick after check-in had opened. In that case I think I wasn't able to do online check-in, so I ended up in my original seat. When checking in using the phone app, it does give the option to change seats afterwards, and the...

New QFi PER T3 transit lounge

It's not so great when the flight's delayed just before boarding commences. If you've left the lounge and passed through immigration, there's no going back to the lounge. This sounds like a massive downgrade for passengers on PER-SIN.

    Qantas hotel price promise

Hooroo basically IS Qantas Hotels. As the Qantas Hotels website says: Also, they have a website at Hooroo | Powering hotels for Qantas and Jetstar

    Qantas hotel price promise

Ah, that explains why a few hotels have mentioned something about the booking being already paid for on Expedia (when I booked on the Qantas Hotels website). I only book when the price is basically the same as the other sites, and I get to use an AMEX and pay immediately in AUD, which suits me...
