Woo hoo, first ever business class flight

I'm beginning to feel bad. Maybe I should swap seats with some poor looking Y class traveller and make their day....

Woo hoo, first ever business class flight

True I imagine, but as I fly for foreign missionary organisations, keeping costs low is the main factor in all my travels, hence my usual selection of Y class. In this instance, I got a very good deal on a J class seat.

Woo hoo, first ever business class flight

This may be a seemingly pointless post, but I'll do it anyway. :) After 700+ QF flights over the last few decades, and having never flown anything other than economy (& premium economy once), I have booked a J class flight with Emirates, leaving this Wednesday (17/3/10), SYD-BKK. What are the...

I would say the same for Aeroflot!;)

    Incoming Passenger Card and declarations

I have never had even the slightest problem with customs in Sydney from almost 25 years of overseas travel. They have always been fairly courteous and quick.

What do you want/expect on board?

Just joining this long thread. What do travellers expect? Easy A good attitude. The customer pays your wages, not the shareholders or Mr Joyce. I flew several Swissair long haul (cattle class) sectors last year. The planes were hopeless, the tucker almost non existent, the seats granite...

JETSTAR - Never Ever Again !!

Anaesthetic works much better. To lighten things up, I once (when in the employ of Try Another Airline)flew first class in a 727 from Sydney - Alice Springs. My 2 yr old son was accompanying me and he received the royal treatment but wanted none of the fare on offer. Instead he wanted the...

    Qantas arrrrgh...

Have you ever read the T&C's of any document (except for a house sale)? There are only 24 in hours in a day and some of us work long hours...:) I beg to differ here but after you have checked in, received a boarding pass and already completed one flight sector of an itinerary with the same...

    Travelling Domestic w/Perishables

I do have a story in the vein of this thread. Years ago I was travelling with the missus from Auckland to Sydney (as best as I can remember) and unbeknownst (sp) to me, a passenger had put a disposable esky full of frozen fish in the locker above my head. Part way through the trip, some...

    Qantas arrrrgh...

If Qantas had delivered their paying/legally contracted customers to the destination on time, there would have been no problem. That's the problem. A sale is a two way contract. The customer performs their part of the sale when they purchase the ticket. From then on, it's the service providers'...

    Qantas arrrrgh...

Yes. Yes, they contacted AA in USA and in Australia. Several of us also tried booking some cheap flights on the internet engines but there was nothing available online at reasonable prices. Very good advice. I often ring QF to add other-booked QF flight info but I haven't added information...

    Qantas arrrrgh...

Yeah, no problems, they're both pretty cruisy and the staff at LAX immigrations were excellent. I think they're going to enjoy the Michigan autumn landscape, colours etc. Cheers.

    Qantas arrrrgh...

Point taken Dave, and understood. Thankfully my daughter in law has full insurance, not so my daughter (she has medical/hospital). She will have to wear the cost but it was not much more than it would have been for top cover, so it's really just an annoyance. My point is that QF didn't offer...

    Qantas arrrrgh...

My daughter in law, her 4 month old baby and my 19yo daughter flew to Sydney yesterday to board QF flight to LAX. A late txt message from QF tells them flight is delayed by 6+ hours and pushed back to 9pm. USA connections all missed, though rebooked at a cost of almost $1000 AUD, plus a hotel...

That Strange Person Seated Beside You

No idea, (and I have no strong opinion on it either) but my point is this: I don't form my views from the mainstream media.

That Strange Person Seated Beside You

A Baptist minister was walking down one side of the street, and a RC priest was walking up the other side. The priest called out, "Good morning, son of the devil!" The Baptist minister replied, "Good morning, father." Sorry, it's all I could think of at the moment.:D

That Strange Person Seated Beside You

Obviously the one million+ Americans (you won't read about this in the mainstream media) who marched on Washington DC last Saturday (12/9/09), to protest against comrade Obama, do not agree with your comments here. Getting into the topic at hand: I am a Baptist minister. I once sat between a RC...
