Maybe my best travel advice - virtual mobile for SMS

That's why I said "similar" - I used a Canadian number. So it wouldn't work if the provider requires an Aussie number. Australia is so strict on who can issue/manage Aussie mobile numbers. I haven't looked at any other cloud providers, perhaps Azure has something you could use?

Maybe my best travel advice - virtual mobile for SMS

I didn't know there was much of a market for this. I created a similar solution in the AWS cloud just for my own use. It would not be too challenging to scale it up for commercial use 🤔 Although there would be tons of regulation for storing people's personal information and verifying identity...

Credit Card Offers ANZ Frequent Flyer Black: 130,000 Qantas Points + $200 back

Oh, I once did supply payslips to ANZ for a different card application. They managed to make that painful as well! I had recently had a child and work provides 18 weeks paid paternity leave. So I took it flexibly with all of January off and the rest by working 4-day weeks. Loved it, almost worth...

Credit Card Offers ANZ Frequent Flyer Black: 130,000 Qantas Points + $200 back

When I applied I submitted bank statements instead of pay slips, can't remember why, but I will never do it again. They rang me to interrogate me over every little thing they could find. Like I had some payments to Norway, helping my sister pay down a loan, and the decription said "loan" so they...

Credit Card Offers ANZ Frequent Flyer Black: 130,000 Qantas Points + $200 back

I cancelled this card about 3 months ago and managed to get a partial refund of $345. No idea how the call centre person pulled this off, I held the cards for about 4 months

Bankwest Transaction account - Earn 10,000 bonus Qantas Points

I didn't bother reading the Terms closely so I just set up BPAY scheduled payments to hit the minimum. Was wondering why I didn't get the 10k bonus, turns out BPAY is excluded. Oh well... Too much work for 10k, personally 🤷

Card and online banking locked out after trying to purchase gift cards

I went to buy $2,000 worth of Apple Gift cards, and the overzealous fraud detection declined the transaction and locked me out of card and online banking. Took three people to unlock it all, and the last gentleman i spoke to said he put an override on it so it shouldn't happen again. I guess...

    Jury Duty

He definitely watched 12 Angry Men the night before deliberation started 😂 Thanks for sharing. Child abuse stuff is horrid, sorry you have to deal with that case. If I'm selected, I hope it's some white collar stuff.

    Flybuys on Uber Eats delivery

Yep, I just had my first UE groceries delivery. I ordered some groceries as we're all sick here and I needed a few things asap. The driver is a genius! He used his own Flybuys card, and paid with prepaid Gift Card that I'm assuming he purchased during the regular 20x Points on Gift Cards...

    Jury Duty

I've been a citizen for < 2 years and already received my first summons. I'm not going to try and get out of it, I'm too curious about the experience. expected to last 2 weeks. I wouldn't be disappointed to be excused, though. Question for people who have sat through jury duty here, what is it...
