Velocity is very flexible. No expiry (as long as there is some account activity such is buying fuel from 7-11 or Flybuys points transfer). From VA you can transfer to SQ and they have some other redemption partners (QR etc) including hopefully soon NZ.

Yes - I've done this many times. Amex can get some good VA business airfares through the IAP and they often have more options than are available through the VA website. So always well worth a look.
