Thanks for the help. I'm flying solo so I can only use my allowance. It sounds like I should declare it and expect that whatever tiny amount by which it exceeds the limit is waived. Worst case, I have to pay all the GST that was refunded to me and I waste a bit of time.

I have a daytime flight SYD - PER twice over the next few months. One is showing the old config, one the new. How disappointed should I be about the old config? Is it a nice recliner suitable for a few drinks and watching a movie or is it worse than that?

The seat map currently supports your view. Old config in July, new in September. So I quickly changed my seat allocation on the September flight to get a K seat. I know things can change but it will be fun to compare the 2 products. Hopefully I get the opportunity to do so.

I went past the lounge Thursday on my way to the ANZ lounge. The sign on the SQ door says open late November and there were discrete knocks on the door and workers being let in. It looked very finished on the inside when the door was held open for a bit. So it can't be far away now.
