We're interested in the historic side of things - castles, abbeys, the odd ruin; stuff that is more than the 220 year old history we have. TV series aren't my thing unless it's Minder but we are avoiding London. I've now started again - driving straight down to Lands End and starting from there...

Thanks all. I have been working to drrons rough itinerary and places so at least I am on the right track. I do need to start booking places but was more concerned my daily distances might be excessive. I guess we'll find out in a few months time.

Which is sort of my line of enquiry. When AY changed the PVD-HEL flight, no QF reward flight lined up, even with WP release requests. I was offered an economy reward option but being Extremely Important to Myself I wanted my J seats back. And there I suppose is the catch - despite the original...

I don’t think this has been covered in the definitive thread, but happy to be moderated out.. We have a J OWE reward trip booked, using QF then AY SYD- xPVD-xHELS-AMS. Finnair changed their flights to not include the day we were flying. Day before, day after fine. QF had no rewards seats day...

June next year. That's if my OWE booking isn't wrecked by airline schedule changes again. 2 re-routes and counting :(

Folks Flying BA club world LHR-LAX and QF Platinum. I think I can use the First fast entry gate and get into the BA First Class lounge? Is that correct? Don’t want to be embarrassed by being escorted out and my DYKWIA card seems to have got lost in the mail 🙁 so can’t pull that out.

Mid-September I got a 3pm appointment at about 11am and was the last appointment I think. QF8 was boarding at 3.20pm so I was to to 'run' afterwards. I did, but boarding was delayed 20 mins. The back and neck massage was Thai style, and very god.
