Qantas Cabin Baggage Survey Results Email

Another reason why people try and carry so much it the time it takes to get the bag at the baggage carousel. I'm a premium flyer and my hold bag has "Premium", Priority Business" or Priority on them. I can GUARANTEE, a dollar to a dime that my bag WILL ALWAYS be in the last 10% on the carousel...

Qantas Cabin Baggage Survey Results Email

Couldn't agree more. The Lo-Co's drove this attitude, charging an arm and both legs to check a bag in

Qantas Cabin Baggage Survey Results Email

I flew from Syd-Perth last Thursday. I was in row 5 or 6 and boarded in group 1. Half way through boarding, a man walked past me with 5, yes 5 bags. Many of my flights are delayed as the last PAX struggle to find a place to store there multiple bags. A couple of years ago, Virgin cracked...

Denied Entry to QF 1st Lounge Singapore

Every time I've been in the SIN F lounge, it's been busy with BA and Qatar high tier members all praising the lounge thus bringing in even more BA/Qatar high tier members

What is the statute of limitations on “never again”?

Emirates.......never again to the point that I told the company I work for, if they EVER book me an Emirates flight again, I will hand in my notice there and then. Last year I was flying from Brisbane-Dubai-Oslo. the aircraft went tech when ready to push back, ALL the PAX were kept on the...

I've had a couple of free biz upgrades from Sunshine Coast to Sydney and one from Sydney to Perth, very unexpected but it was defiantly welcomed

    Favourite airline on-board freebie?

I was lucky enough to fly on Concorde twice in 1996, LHR-JFK-LHR and the crew gave away leather wallets, pens and a leather document holder with a super-sonic certificate signed by the flight crew.......do I win ??

    Qantas Club Flexible membership

MEL Traveller, only one member of the house would join then bring his wife and screaming kids in a guests. How else do all the kids get into the lounges over the holidays. I'm not poo pooing it but as someone who does more than his fair share of Q flying (96 Qantas flights per year interstate...

    Qantas Club Flexible membership

I agree with KCP but there are an awful lot of people out there who want to use the lounge rather than buy a KFC meal, totally agree that some gold lounges are getting a bit tired and some like the Perth lounge gets busier than a stampede at sale time and that will only get worse.

    Qantas Club Flexible membership

Me thinks this will make the lounges even busier than they already are as people will book and pay for 28 days at a time, i.e, school holidays so even more badly behaved kids running in the lounge and chucking food everywhere........ummmmm

Op-ed: Airlines Must Take the Seatbelt Sign More Seriously

I know one airline that get the cabin crew to call the flight deck to get the seatbelt sign turned on if passengers crowd the galley and star becoming annoying to the cabin crew

    Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

Here's what upsets me. I try and live a sustainable life, I have 12.32Kws of panels on my roof, I have a 15Kw Sonnen Battery that runs my house when the sun goes down, I drive an EV that is charged from my surplus solar power. I have a Sanden Hot system that uses heat pump technology to heat my...

How well do you sleep on planes?

I find as I get older (and not wiser) that I take longer to fall asleep. and sleep lighter. In Qantas Biz in the 330, I find the seats to narrow and snuggle to sleep, I get wedged in the seat, better in the 380, I think they have a slightly wider bed. I once fell asleep out of Bangkok before...

    2024 Qantas Inflight safety video

When I heard of the first offshore helicopter briefs being filmed, they did some research and found most people switch off after 5 minutes so you have 5 minutes to present a short punchy safety video that covers all the safety requirements. If it's made funny or entertaining then you may get a...

    2024 Qantas Inflight safety video

I have written safety briefs for offshore helicopter flights. This Qantas video IS NOT a safety video, it's a promotional video for Qantas, there, I said it. Can CASA please step in and take action against this stupid video. I get it that they have to attract attention, some airlines do it...

Good News! Pyjamas on (almost) all Qantas international flights in J!

OK, I'll put my pennies worth in. I see it as a waste of world resources to supply PJ's for 28+ pax on a day time flight. I just flew from Syd-Hong Kong. The flight departed at 10:45 morning and landed in HK at 16:30 the same day. Are pax really that needy that they need PJ's for a day time...

Article: How to Stop Airlines Losing Your Checked Baggage

I used my AirTag when BA "lost" my bag. I was able to tell them that it was 17 meters south of Terminal 2 at Manchester, beside gate 17 !! Another trick I do is ALWAYS and ALWAYS take a photo oof my bag when I check it in so 1) if it does go missing, I can show them a picture of what the bag...

    2024 Qantas Inflight safety video

I have written aircraft safety briefs in the past. Research shows that if the video is more than 5 minutes long, people loose interest. This one appears to be a promo for Qantas and not a safety brief. I can see a 9 and a half minute safety video causing delays while passengers watch this film
