Rewards at 2400 SC in a membership year

I will for the first time this year accumulate more than 2,400 SC and while I started planning how to spend the bonus 50,000 points...I saw this on QF website:

The requirement for the SCs to be on QF and JQ clearly contradicts the benefits described in the Platinum section of the website:

So will I get the 50,000 points even if not all the 2400 SC were earned on QF and JQ?

I reached 2400 sc's three weeks ago. Approximately 900 were from other oneworld carriers. As soon as the sc's were posted I received an email from Qantas offering me the benefits outlined above. The offer also appeared on my profile page, where I was required to choose which benefit I wanted to choose. I gave the gold membership to a deserving friend, as my immediate family have all been trained and coached to reach and maintain gold.

That's generous! My friends would need to give me 50,000 points to receive Gold membership from me:mrgreen:

Mr FM and I both achieved this last month with 1755 from Qantas and the rest other carriers. Miss FM was gifted gold and we took 50,000 points for the other. So nothing to worry about unless it is a very recent change.

The 2400 can be any mix of sources of SC, of course at least the 4 QF~ so *some* must be QF earned, but apart from that it can be any partner of QF/JQ/EK*(QF code).

Only the 2700 QF required for P1 qualificiation IIRC.

I also gave the Gold status to a deserving person this year, as I have for the past 3 years. Nobody else in my family flies more than once a year so I have granted to work friends with big trips, or other like minded souls. That's of more value to me (and pleasure to grant to someone who will appreciate and make use of it) than 50k points. Everyone's mileage varies of course.

Where is this "quote" from. I googles the 2400 SC reward on QF website and got

You'll notice that the 5,000 and 7,000 SC bonus do not mention QF and JQ in that table, but in the Platinum One benefits page it says:
"Fly more and earn up to 175,000 bonus Qantas Points
Platinum One members will receive a bonus of 75,000 Qantas Points when they reach 5,000 Status Credits in a Membership Year from flying with Qantas and Jetstar. A further bonus of 100,000 Qantas Points will be awarded when 7,000 Status Credits have been reached within a Membership Year from flying with Qantas and Jetstar."

Fine, table is obviously wrong with the worng symbol because when you click on the "choice of reward" cell you get what I posted above. I note some of the symbols in the notes don't even exist in the table. Will probably fixed shortly as NSW school holidays (so the work experience kids can fix it) start shortly or if it has been outsourced to Indian work experience kids, New Delhi schools are on holidays until 1 Jul.

Passed through 2400 SC's a few days ago, but no option for rewards/bonus's when I log in, & other times has happened as soon as I hit 2400 SC's, also usually get an e-mail to say congrats now choose your reward.

Im wondering if there is an issue with the new website? as with previous website it happened the day I hit 2400 SC's

Anyone else had any issues?

I'll give it a couple more days & then call QF if nothing happens online.

Unfortunately not there, i have received an e-mail stating I can choose my option (got that this morning) clicked on the link, just took me to the FF login & once logged in, it was no different than the normal login. When i click on the "view your current status benefits" it just goes to the generic tier benefits page.

When i need to call QF again i'll get them to choose it for me.

Get the email about 6-7 days after getting 2400 sc's. Directs you to the QFF page. You log in and get to select nothing (well atleast that was the case in October this year)

Had to call to get bonus selected.

I'de say it's an issue with the new web layout.

Thanks, that's the first thing I did yesterday, but no option to select a reward showed up in my account.

I got the email this year a day after the flight taking it over 2400SC posted. Took a while to find the selection options on the website, but picked what I wanted (50k points). The activity statement posted the bonus points right away, though it took a few days for the total points count to update with them.
