Qantas have tweeted the first photo, no doubt we will have our roving correspondent soon posting.

Qantas has opened the doors to its new Qantas Hong Kong Lounge, offering customers a new standard of luxury when travelling through the city.
Qantas International CEO, Simon Hickey, said the new multi-million dollar lounge delivers on Qantas’ ongoing commitment to creating the best travel experiences for its customers.
“The new Hong Kong Lounge is testament to our continued investment in the lounge and inflight experiences right across our network,” said Mr Hickey.
“The Hong Kong Lounge is stylish and contemporary, designed to reflect the colour, vibrancy and luxury of Hong Kong. It’s the perfect environment for our customers to relax and work before their flight.
“All of our flights from Hong Kong to Australia are overnight, so we know customers will enjoy being able to dine in the lounge before they fly so they can maximise their sleep onboard.”
The Hong Kong Lounge builds on the success of the Qantas Singapore Lounge, with renowned Consulting Chef Neil Perry designed menus based on his Rockpool and Spice Temple restaurants with regionally inspired flavours and ingredients.
Customers can enjoy a range of dining experiences from the Spice Temple BBQ Bar to yum cha trolleys, an extensive buffet or the locally influenced plate of the day. Spice Temple inspired coughtails will be prepared alongside a world-class wine selection and barista service, to be enjoyed at the bar area with panoramic views across the airport overlooking Qantas gates.
Qantas has partnered with Sofitel to offer a new service experience in Hong Kong, consistent with the best of its Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore lounges. The service includes a hosted experience for customers travelling in First and Platinum One Qantas Frequent Flyers, with exclusive services including shirt pressing, shoe shining and priority access to showers.
Mr Hickey said the opening of the Hong Kong Lounge demonstrates not only how the Qantas Group continues to invest where it matters most to its customers, but is also part of a broader commitment to Hong Kong as a key hub for the region.
“With the A330 fleet upgrade to start by the end of this year, travellers in Hong Kong can look forward to the best in-class experience on flights to Australia.
“As we transform our business, one thing we won’t change is investment in the customer,” he added.
The Hong Kong Lounge seats 300 guests, has 12 showers, a family zone and a flexible working area.
The first phase of the Los Angeles Business Lounge* is scheduled to open by the middle of this year, and the Qantas First lounge by the end of 2014.

So is this a new enhancement whereby P1s and WPs are treated
differently in the QF Lounges?

That has been the case at Singapore since it was reopened.

No doubt as a result of the abolition of the F lounge and creation of a generic lounge.

I wonder if they offer champagne on presentation of the appropriate BP or card? (Happens in Europe for several airlines).

Happy to see that this time they've apparently invested in a ceiling of one sort or another across the entire lounge :) Also floor treatments, it looks like and not polished concrete.

The ceiling is the airport terminal ceiling.... not the lounge's. It is an open air concept

That means I'll actually have to bring shirts that need pressing and shoes that need shining... but nice to have priority access to the showers :)
 
It looks like a great lounge, lot of money to invest for something being used for about 3 hours a day before the 3 Qantas flights, but good anyway. Maybe one day, there will be more flights to Hong Kong. (not anytime soon I'd imagine)

Exactly as I said .. of one sort or another. But have a look at the pic of the 2 ladies at reception .. isn't that a custom ceiling .. or am I deceived?

Their is a small overhang with lights, however the HKG airport ceiling is taking up most of the picture.
 
Next there in June. Will be interesting to see the "enhancements".

the opening hours on qantas.com state 3pm to 12 midnight so there must be some partner airlines using also.

A bit of a joke when all OWEs get free pressing in the CX F Wing Cabanas. Shame on the dilution of WP benefits.

If QF were smart, they would offer other pax the ironing and shoe shine service for a fee. There are only 14 F pax a day on QF128 and there can't be too many CL or WP1 flying through. Might as well maximise revenue from a potentially idle asset (in this case, the guy they employ to do it) - and put a smile on people's faces too. $10 for shoe shine would easily be profitable.

I've seen AF passengers there in the past, and DL too. BA might also still use it?
 
It's opened for all OW pax, of course. BA has its own lounge now too (the former QF/BA J dungeon at gate 15). Might check it out if I have the time before my $65 "bus ride" back to SIN.
 
I'm flying through in F on QF127/128 in a couple of weeks so am very much looking forward to seeing what's on offer!
