Been to SFO many times and yet to find in warm in any month.

Must say the Alcatraz visit is a must.

Absolutely agree - love SFO but it is always chilly! Interestingly only an hour away in Mountain View it was about 8 degrees warmer when we were there last July!

the award seats will probably be plentiful until they appear on AA.com which I am waiting for. 192k return plus $900 "taxes" vs 125k return and minimal taxes.

and Napa Valley vineyards from what I remember of it :)

Ferry trip to Sausalito and the 4 hour comedy bus tour and the Renaissance Faire too.

Can't wait to fly this route in the near future!
SFO a great destination in its own right!

SF is strange like that. Even just going from downtown to the mission can make a difference of a few degrees.

I remember walking around SFO in leather. Quite a few men wanted to chat. I even had invitations for a drink.

My QF96 LAX-MEL flight in January has been has been pushed back four hours and now departs after QF94. I haven't looked right through the schedule but I suspect this retiming is somehow related to the SFO flights.

Our QF18 (JFK-LAX) is now QF12 departing 35mins earlier, with similar changes to QF16 - flights are for May 16. Minor changes to QF17 for April.

QF7 in January 2016 brought forward by 20 mins on the day I'm traveling.

I suspect that's the case. A fair bit of re-jigging would be necessary to make the SFO flights work.

Not directly related. QF96 was leaving too early (parts of the year it was leaving LAX at 6:30pm) and so it was missing out on a number of inbound connections.

Must say I'm very surprised at how many J seats are available for 2016 SYD/SFO/SYD, hope they are still there end August so I can book, but with AA coming on line can be the old J award seat lottery :)
