Also same week I was invited to The Cartier exhibition but same two US guests prevented this too and I ended up at the NRL at the MCG instead… entertaining customers…

An update re the AKL hosts for the P1/CL meet n greet/departure services. The hosts staff have now been reduced from 11 to just 3 with reduced hours for the remaining staff. There's now only 1 host per shift and the hours of service have been drastically reduced. The late night flight arrivals or departures will no longer be met or escorted for pre boarding. Shifts finish at 8pm or earlier if the last departure is before. Final gasps of the meet n greet I suspect. I guess it all comes down to what QF is willing to pay the service providers for the ground support.

Mine just stand at the gate and say hi Sir.
Did not escort me.
Simply useless.

My CL invites have always been for early morning flights. It's pretty much like visiting the Intl First lounge for a 6am departure, It's nice, but I'd rather be in bed! 🤣
Secretly hoping for an afternoon/evening CL invite one day...

My recent MEL one was timed perfectly. Was able to eat from both the breakfast and all day menus.
