I think they are meant to be like XiaoLongBao, but with little to no soup inside.
The skin/wrapping was not too bad. Filling was dry.

The thread title really needs changing, “meals” is misleading for the vast majority of domestic flights, “snack” or “bites” would be more appropriate
Even Qantas refers to anything as a "Refreshment", especially if you're on a Dash 8

I had the roast beef finger sandwiches on QF549 BNE-SYD and a small pie on QF550 SYD-BNE
The flight home i made sure to eat something in the lounge.
Both too small to waste taking a photo.
