Going to Avalon by mistake.

Similar but funnier — or even more inconvenient depending on your POV: I have a Canadian friend who lives in Sydney Nova Scotia, population just over 30,000. He says they have a few people every year who get off a plane thinking they are in Sydney Australia. He says the locals give them warm hospitality before pointing them in the right direction,

Totally off the subject — I became friends with this Canadian because he is an AFL devotee. He fell in love with the game watching on TV. He & wife came to Australia as tourists but with the major objective of watching live AFL. He said to be at the MCG in a crowd of 80,000, more than double the total population of his home town, was an amazing experience.

I always thought this was a bit of a wives' tale or tongue-in-cheek joke until I lived in Halifax and saw an actual news report interviewing one such unlucky passenger. 🙃

Along that note, I wonder if when TUI ran their seasonal service, anyone erronously booked from LGW or MAN to MLB?

I haven’t been there for years but do they now have any other transportation options such as buses?
Bit late I know, but Skybus does it now too.
I think it links you to a train station, as well, Lara, oh, nak, its Werribee then to Melbourne city.
