QBR Gold Accelerator - does it have to be new bookings?

If I have been nominated for Gold Accelerator by my employer in Qantas Business Rewards, do my 100 SC that I earn have to be on new bookings after the nomination? The T&C imply this, but I wonder if this is the case in practice:

Once approved, the nominee’s Qantas Frequent Flyer status will be upgraded to Gold, when they earn at least 100 Status Credits on new bookings for departures between the date the offer is accepted and within 90 days.

However in the FAQs it doesn't mention anything about new flights:

What is an eligible flight?

Eligible flights are those booked and ticketed with a Qantas flight number (QF) where Status Credits are usually earned. Bonus Status Credit earn and Status Credits earned not via way of an eligible flight will not contribute towards the 100 Status Credits required.

Anecdotally (I assigned a Gold Accelerator to one of my employees before an existing international trip), yes you need to make new bookings.

Her flights booked before assigning Gold Accelerator did not count for the program. She had to make new bookings and fly those within the program period for the accelerator to kick in.

Just to close this off, in my case I did NOT have to make a new booking after the nomination had started. My accelerator period started at the beginning of April, and a flight I had booked last year but travelled in April allowed me to get gold via the accelerator.
