Has anyone picked up any discrepancies in SCs earned?? Because of the new system, I now write down how many SCs I'll earn for that flight. I tried looking back on my booking email and it only tells me the total return fare and not the individual legs (which makes it even harder to work out how many SCs you should be earning for each flight). Simpler to work out your SC earn?? Clearly not!!! Whoever thought this system would be easier is incredibly deluded! Anyway, I've just done a flight and was expecting 39 SCs but my account showed only 37! Something dodgy is happening here...

You will receive a "top up" once the system audits the SC earn, I had this occur for me on a recent trip, same thing as you experienced and received 2 SC's because of some rounding error between the advertised fare and what I was eventually charged as I sometimes see the dollar amount go down by $1 in the final charge screen.

edit: I can't recall which trip this applied to but it may have been the 6 week delay they quote for SC earn as I had no travel in Jan but did in Dec, 6 weeks before this appeared.

I agree that it's now way too hard to work out what you're going to earn, especially on multi-sector/return trips where the ticket just shows the total price.

When you book on the main VA website, it does show you the expected SC earn for each trip. But if you book on the VA Business Flyer portal, it does not. And if you book a Flex fare, the price is different to what's on the main website so the SC earn may also be different.

I was trying yesterday to calculate my expected SC earn for some upcoming flights and it gave me a real headache. Simpler, this new system definitely is not.

Also, as someone pointed out yesterday in another thread, VA no longer rounds up to the nearest $12 when calculating SC earn. They quietly changed this at some point to just rounding (not necessarily up) to the nearest $12. So, you might actually earn 1 less than you expected.

I really wish Velocity would let you see exactly how many SC you'll earn on each upcoming flight when viewing your trips!
